About Emerald Executive
After several years of planning, Jim Latham achieved a long-held ambition when, in early 2007, he launched Emerald Executive Ltd. Jim is quite clear about his aims: to provide the very best chauffeur-driven limousine service in East Anglia.
Emerald Executive Limited are fully licensed with the local authorities in North Essex and carry appropriate levels of public liability insurance for the protection of clients.
In recent years, Jim became a partner and director of an East Anglian private hire transport company, helping the company to expand and become one of the largest and most respected services in the local area. His primary responsibilities during this time were the negotiation and management of local government contracts.
Jim lives in Braintree, Essex, and is married to a professional lecturer. Their two children are currently at university. Jim's hobbies include walking and keeping fit.
Jim Latham (Managing Director)
Born in 1958, in Manchester, Jim studied music at the Royal Military School of Music in Twickenham and during 12 years of military service travelled the world as a musician.
On leaving the army, Jim trained as a driving instructor. He ran his own instruction school for eight years. During this period he was awarded advanced driving qualifications, including R.O.S.P.A. and I.A.M.
Jim's skill as an expert driver, backed by his military training, guaranteed a position as senior chauffeur with a company specialising in ground logistics for the entertainment industry and the blue-chip corporate market.
For several years Jim travelled the country, transporting celebrities and senior executives. The company received regular plaudits from their very-demanding clientele, praising Jim's driving skills, smart appearance, courtesy and discretion.
This period taught Jim that his first love is the pride and satisfaction gained from professional chauffeuring to the highest standards.
